- The acting U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York resigned rather than dismiss the corruption case against New York Mayor Eric Adams, saying his lawyers had urged "what amounted to a quid pro quo" on immigration enforcement. The acting head of the Public Integrity Section, the acting criminal division chief and at least three other Public Integrity officials also quit after refusing the order.
