What happened

Comey, who led the Sean Combs prosecution, was fired with Article II of the Constitution given as the sole reason. She sued in September 2025, alleging she was removed because her father is former FBI Director James Comey or because of her perceived political beliefs. On 2026-04-28 Judge Furman ruled the case belongs in federal court rather than before the Merit Systems Protection Board, letting it proceed.
