- What happened
- Rochon's order halting a $20 million DHS-funded ad campaign took effect at 6:46 p.m. on October 11; plaintiffs told the court the ads ran nearly 400 more times that evening and the next day. A DOJ status report acknowledged the violation, apologized to the court and blamed a delay relaying DOJ's email to the ad vendor; DOJ reported the ad buy had stopped and future payments were frozen. No contempt motion has been filed.
