Trump Raises Record $239 Million for Second Inauguration

Filings made public in April 2025 showed Trump's inaugural committee raised approximately $239 million, more than double the prior record of about $107-109 million set for his first inauguration in 2017, and nearly four times what Joe Biden raised in 2021. Major donors included Pilgrim's Pride ($5 million), Ripple Labs (almost $4.9 million), and $1 million each from Amazon, Meta and Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Inaugural committees are legally permitted to raise essentially unlimited funds, and surplus money can be redirected to political committees or aligned nonprofits, effectively functioning as an early war chest tied to a newly empowered administration.

Ethics observers noted the surge in corporate and megadonor giving reflected strategic positioning for access and favorable treatment rather than simple celebration, especially given many donors had pending business or regulatory matters before the incoming administration.
