Trump Spends Three Hours at Walter Reed, His Fourth Exam of the Term, and Says Everything 'Checked Out PERFECTLY'
Trump made a roughly three-hour visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on May 26 for what the White House called annual preventive medical and dental checkups. It was at least his fourth publicly disclosed medical visit since returning to office. Afterward he wrote that everything "checked out PERFECTLY"; his physician later declared him in excellent overall health. White House spokesperson Davis Ingle said Trump "is the sharpest and most accessible President in American history" and remains in excellent health.
The administration did not disclose in advance which tests would be performed or whether any procedure would involve anesthesia, and released no detailed findings. There is no legal requirement that a president disclose medical information, so what the public learns is entirely at his discretion. Physicians quoted in the coverage said a complete physical for a patient of Trump's age would ordinarily include advanced cardiac testing, cancer screening and cognitive assessment; whether any were performed was not stated.
The frequency of the visits, following an unexplained MRI in 2025, drew renewed press attention. No specific diagnosis beyond the previously acknowledged chronic venous insufficiency has been disclosed.
