Trump Media Starts Selling Traders Early Access to Trump’s Truth Social Posts for Up to $100,000 a Month

Trump Media & Technology Group began selling "Truth API" on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026 — a paid feed delivering posts from top Truth Social accounts, including President Trump’s, to subscribers milliseconds before the public sees them. NPR reported it costs up to $100,000 a month. Trump is the company’s largest shareholder through a trust controlled by Donald Trump Jr., so the revenue flows to the family. Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Adam Schiff had already asked the SEC to investigate, calling it "an outrageous abuse of the President’s office for his personal benefit."

Trump routinely announces or previews government policy on Truth Social, so the product monetizes the timing of official information. Renée Jones, a Boston College professor and former SEC official, told NPR the arrangement appears to run afoul of federal rules barring misuse of nonpublic information, and cited the 2012 STOCK Act. She noted a counterargument: announcing the service openly may defeat a claim of deceit. A Trump Media spokeswoman said the feed carries only "publicly available Truth Social data."

The SEC declined to comment on whether it will open an inquiry. Trump Media says customers have begun signing up. No regulator or court has ruled on the service.
