No Kings Protests Draw Millions Across More Than 2,700 U.S. Locations

On October 18, 2025, demonstrations under the banner "No Kings" were held at more than 2,700 locations in all 50 states and at sites abroad including London, Paris and Rome. Organizers, a coalition of roughly 200 groups including the ACLU, the American Federation of Teachers, Indivisible and MoveOn, estimated turnout at nearly 7 million; an independent analysis by data journalist G. Speaker Mike Johnson called it a "Hate America rally," and press secretary Karoline Leavitt said participants included "Hamas terrorists, illegal aliens, and violent criminals." Trump responded on Truth Social by promoting an AI-generated video showing himself in a crown, flying a jet labeled "King Trump" and dumping a brown substance on protesters.

The scale of the turnout, and the terms in which officials described it, made the day a marker of how peaceful mass assembly was being characterized by the government it was directed against.

Turnout figures remain estimates rather than counts, and organizers' and independent tallies differ by roughly a million and a half.
