- What it is
- The Kennedy Center grounds and facade, Washington DC
- Who did it
- Kennedy Center board, chaired by Trump
- Detail
- Two months after a court ordered the president's name removed from the building, the board voted to name the grounds 'President Donald J. Trump Plaza', add an inscription beneath the centre's name crediting him with the renovation and restoration, and add a second inscription once a Trump Kennedy Center Fund reached $100M. On 2026-09-15 Judge Christopher Cooper blocked the resolution, ruling that the board cannot install memorials to anyone other than John F. Kennedy without approval from Congress. The administration appealed the ruling the same night.
