A Supplier Alleges the Cheap Gas Trump Praised at Freedom Fuel Stations Came From $4 Million of Fuel It Was Never Paid For
Mansfield Oil alleges in a federal suit filed Aug. 19, 2026 that businessman Syed Kazmi and his company KRSM took more than 1.1 million gallons of fuel from a Pennsylvania terminal and never paid the roughly $4 million invoice. It alleges KRSM sold some of that fuel to Freedom Fuel Network stations, which Trump praised on Truth Social on July 1 for advertising $3.47-a-gallon gas.
The allegations are untested. Freedom Fuel Network is not a defendant and is not accused of wrongdoing. KRSM's lawyer called the case "an accounting dispute over fuel invoices mis-priced by Mansfield Oil." The White House told CNBC it has had no dealings with the defendants.
On Aug. 28 the judge partially granted a preliminary injunction, ordering the defendants to keep $2.75 million on deposit.
