Trump Advisers Donate Pro-Russian Bosnian Fee to His Presidential Library

Top Trump political advisers James Blair and Chris LaCivita donated the fee they earned advising Bosnia's Republika Srpska government to Trump's presidential library, the New York Post first reported Oct. 22, 2026. The New York Times had revealed Oct. 6 that the two, who lead Trump's midterm strategy at the MAGA Inc. super PAC, were paid hundreds of thousands of dollars each through a Washington law firm retained by the pro-Russian Bosnian Serb government on voting issues. Trump, reportedly angered by the report, warned Oct. 7 that he would "terminate them, immediately" if their outside work posed a conflict.

Blair posted on X that "it's true we donated our full fee," calling it "an honor" to contribute to "the preservation of his legacy of greatness"; LaCivita used similar language. Neither the size of the fee nor the donation amount was disclosed.

Trump said Oct. 23 he is no longer looking into whether the advisers' Balkans travel posed a conflict of interest, calling the donation to his library "a very nice thing to do."
