What happened
At least 108 trial-level immigration judges, 13 assistant chief immigration judges and nine appellate immigration judges were terminated in waves — four senior EOIR officials on inauguration day, 32 in February 2025, 22 in July 2025, 12 in December 2025, and smaller batches through June 2026. Fired judges have sued. Row date is the first action; the range runs to 2026-06.
