DOJ Demands New Jersey Identify 6,600 Noncitizen Voters, Weighs Criminal Charges

The Justice Department on July 21, 2026 asked New Jersey to provide the identities of about 6,600 noncitizens it said had been mistakenly added to the state's voter rolls, and said it is considering criminal prosecutions of any who illegally voted, Politico reported.
