Trump Organization Announces Second $1 Billion Saudi Development

On September 29, 2025, London-based developer Dar Global announced a $1 billion Trump Plaza project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the Trump Organization's second branded development in the kingdom following Trump Tower Jeddah, launched in December 2024. The mixed-use project is planned to include residences, serviced apartments, office space, and townhouses.

The deal renews longstanding conflict-of-interest concerns about the Trump Organization expanding its business footprint in a country where the sitting president also directs U.S. foreign policy. Unlike a former president licensing his name abroad, Trump as a sitting commander in chief has direct influence over decisions affecting U.S.-Saudi relations, a reality that colors perceptions of the deal regardless of formal legal separations between his office and his business.

Eric Trump, who leads the family's real estate operations, said the project reflects confidence in Jeddah's growth. No legal violation has been alleged, and the Trump Organization has structured its foreign deals through licensing arrangements rather than direct presidential ownership, but watchdogs continue to flag the arrangement as an example of unresolved presidential conflicts of interest.
